Maryland Buddhist Vihara is a Theravada Buddhist temple led by Venerable Katugastota Uparatana Nayaka Thera, Chief Judicial Sangha Nayake of North America.

The Vihara is rooted in the Sri Lankan tradition, serving the greater Washington DC community since 1996. We are a place of practice, learning and belonging — open to people of all backgrounds, faiths and walks of life.
