Blessings for Young Learners in Sri Lanka
The Most Venerable Katugastota Uparatana Nayaka Thera recently visited a Monsori school in Sri Lanka, spending time with children and teachers in their classroom.
During the visit, the children gathered respectfully before Bhante as he offered chanting and blessings for their wellbeing, learning and future development. Surrounded by their colourful artwork and classroom materials, the young pupils took part in a simple and meaningful moment of spiritual reflection.
Early childhood is an important stage in shaping habits, attitudes and relationships. Alongside academic learning, values such as kindness, patience, respect and gratitude help children grow with confidence and consideration for others.
Bhante’s visit reflected his longstanding commitment to supporting the education and welfare of younger generations. By sharing the blessings of the Dhamma in a familiar classroom setting, the occasion connected spiritual guidance with the children’s everyday experience of learning.
May the children continue to grow in wisdom, good health and happiness, and may their teachers and families be blessed in their devoted care.
