Shelter and Hope for Families in Sri Lanka

The Most Venerable Katugastota Uparatana Nayaka Thera recently extended assistance to two families facing difficult housing conditions in Sri Lanka through Uparatana Paramitha Padanama.

The foundation funded the cost of a new roof for one household, addressing an urgent need and helping provide the family with a safer, more secure and weather-resistant home.

Bhante also visited another family to see their living conditions firsthand and learn about the challenges they faced. Following the visit, Uparatana Paramitha Padanama committed its support towards rebuilding their house and providing a more stable home for the family.

Although the circumstances of the two households were different, both initiatives reflected the same spirit of compassionate service. By responding to each family’s particular needs—whether through an essential repair or the rebuilding of a home—the foundation seeks to restore safety, dignity and hope through practical action.

May both families find lasting comfort and security, and may all who contribute to these worthy efforts share in their merit.
